Ricardo Gareca, ready to meet Peru’s rival: “We arrived well, everything is fine”

The Peruvian team continues with its preparation for the playoff to the Qatar 2022 World Cup and this Tuesday it will finally meet its rival: Australia will collide with the United Arab Emirates in search of the Asian quota. The meeting is of interest to the ‘Blanquirroja’ and for this reason, Ricardo Gareca will be present at Al Rayyan’s Ahmad bin Ali Stadium to draw conclusions.

The Argentine strategist left the concentration of the Peruvian team in Barcelona last Monday and began his transfer to Qatari territory, along with some members of his technical command. After more than six hours of travel, the “Tiger” arrived at his lodging, ready to continue with his tasks.

After his arrival, Ricardo Gareca was interviewed by América TV, although he did not elaborate too much. “All good, we arrived well”, affirmed the coach, when questioned about the important week that has begun for the Peruvian team.

In addition, the Argentine coach was consulted about the recovery of some players, who have had physical discomfort and could not even be present in the friendly against New Zealand (Peru won 1-0). This time, the ‘Blanquirroja’ technician respectfully decided to remain silent on the subject.

In this way, the Peruvian delegation has already settled in Qatar to study the development of Australia vs. United Arab Emirates (Tuesday, June 7 at 1:00 pm in Peru). Let us remember that Gareca is accompanied by Néstor Bonillo and Sergio Santín, his assistants, in addition to Lucas Argento, who works as a tactical analyst.

When is the playoff in Peru played?

The Peruvian team will play the playoff for the Qatar 2022 World Cup (against the winner of Australia vs. United Arab Emirates) next Monday, June 13, at 1:00 pm (Peru time), at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha.
