Bale only thinks about Qatar 2022: “The level of my next club will not make a difference, I feel that I would never lose my quality”

The Welsh striker Gareth Bale, who will be a free agent from June 30, was willing to lower his level in order to continue playing to be in shape for the World Cup Qatar 2022.

Bale, still a Real Madrid footballer, spoke to the media before his team faces the Netherlands in the Nations League.

“I have to sit down and think about it,” Bale said of his future. “Not only with my family, but also with the coach, with the physical trainers. We have to see what will be the best in order to be fit in November and December”.

“I don’t know if the level will make a big difference,” Bale said of going to a team that isn’t among the world’s elite. “A football game is a football game. I feel like I would never lose my quality on the ball. It’s something I have to think about. I haven’t made a decision yet. I know there are possible destinations, but I have to evaluate it and see what is best for me”, added the Welshman, who has led his team to its first World Cup since 1958.

Regarding his physical problems, he assured that he has been available for a good part of the season, but that they have not counted on him. “People think I play a lot of golf, but the truth is that I don’t. People think I’m always injured, but it’s not true. I’m fine,” Bale said.
