Boca Juniors analyzes giving Advíncula and Zambrano vacations due to emotional exhaustion

The Peruvian team lost the playoff against Australia in the penalty round and the sadness was reflected in each of the members of the squad. However, there was one player in particular who could not find comfort: Luis Advíncula could not contain his tears and was left lying on the grass of the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.

The right-back had missed his shot and broke when the ‘Blanquirroja’ defeat was consummated, who said goodbye to the dream of going to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Due to these circumstances, the wear and tear on ‘Bolt’ has not only been physical, but also emotional, which is why in Boca Juniors they analyze the possibility of giving him some vacation time, so that he can rest calmly before returning to the fields.

According to Olé, Sebastián Battaglia, coach of the Argentine club, and his technical command were on the lookout for the performances of Advíncula and Carlos Zambrano, who are regular starters at ‘Xeneize’. And after the defeat of Peru, from an emotional point of view, the footballers could be released.

According to the same source, the authorities of Boca Juniors have as their first option to release the athletes until June 24, days in which they will be able to share with the family and recover emotionally from what happened in the playoffs.

However, the rest period is still under discussion, since there is already a plan in the club for the restart of the Copa Libertadores. According to the calendar, the ‘Xeneize’ will visit Corinthians in Brazil, for the first leg of the round of 16, on June 28, which would mean only four days for the Peruvian national team together with the squad.

Although Luis Advíncula and Carlos Zambrano have had no problems getting back on the pitch after a long break, coach Sebastián Battaglia is still studying the vacation time he will establish. The DT has already had contact with both players and the final determination will be known soon.
