Raúl Ruidíaz’s 2022 season has had many difficulties, especially due to the injuries that affected him. The striker will remain off the pitch again for a few days after suffering a tear in his right hamstring, according to information provided by Brian Schmetzer, his coach.

The concern for the physical condition of the often soccer player began in the duel against the Vancouver Whitecaps, which was played last Tuesday. Although the ‘Flea’ showed off with a double in the 4-0 victory, he could not complete the actions and was replaced by Will Bruin, when the clock reached 64 minutes.

The Peruvian striker was already showing discomfort, although the severity of the injury was only confirmed a few days later. After the rigorous tests, Raúl Ruidíaz was diagnosed with a tear in his right hamstring, which will prevent him from playing at least two days with the Seattle Sounders jersey.

According to the dates, the 31-year-old will miss the matches against Los Angeles FC (June 18) and Sporting Kansas City (June 25). According to the club’s fixture in MLS, the attacker would return to the courts in the match against CF Montreal, at home, which is scheduled for June 29.

How many goals does Ruidíaz have this season?

Throughout the 2022 season, Raúl Ruidíaz has played eight games in MLS and managed to inflate the nets five times. Interestingly, all the goals of the ‘Flea’ came in four of the last five appearances and the time he did not celebrate, the Seattle Sounders lost (1-0 loss to Colorado Rapids).

It is worth mentioning that the striker records three other goals this year, which were in the Concachampions. The Peruvian scored once against New York City, in the semifinals; and a double in the final against Pumas UNAM.
