Zambrano and Advíncula are summoned to Boca Juniors for the match against Barracas Central

Carlos Zambrano and Luis Advíncula were close to qualifying for the 2022 World Cup with the Peruvian team, but were left out against Australia in the penalty shootout. Now, the players are focused on Boca Juniors and their participation in the Argentine Professional League.

According to information from Hey, ‘Xeneize’ granted the footballers a license so that they can recover after the playoffs. However, both were willing to put themselves under the command of Sebastián Battaglia and, therefore, appear on the squad list.

The technical director summoned ‘León’ and ‘Rayo’ for this Sunday’s match against Barracas de Central for the fourth day of the tournament at 7:30 pm (Peruvian time). Boca Juniors, which is in fourth place with six units, arrives motivated after beating Tigre (5-3) and now awaits its second consecutive victory.

Even Luis Advíncula is emerging as a starter, according to ESPN. The media reported that Sebastián Battaglia made three modifications in the recent practice: ‘Bolt’, Carlos Izquierdoz and Óscar Romero were included in the initial team, instead of Marcelo Weigandt, Nicolás Figal and Aaron Molinas.

It should be remembered that the winger played for the last time with ‘Xeneize’ on May 22, in the 3-0 victory over Tigre, which meant the title of the Professional League Cup. In that match, ‘Bolt’ suffered a muscle injury to his right hamstring and was unable to be present against Deportivo Cali, in the Copa Libertadores, before joining the Peru squad.
