Beckham, Gronkowski and Flowers, the most desired players in free agency in the NFL

Odell Beckham, Rob Gronkowski and Trey Flowers, champions with the Rams, Buccaneers and Patriots, respectively, are the stars still available in free agency who look like the most desired for the 2022 NFL season.

Two and a half months before the start of the regular season, the three free agents are in the best moment of their careers and have enough potential to be transcendental in any team.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham showed it with the Los Angeles Rams last February, when he helped them win Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals with a strong playoff performance.

Beckham, 29, had 288 yards in the postseason, trailing only teammate Cooper Kupp, the Super Bowl MVP.

When it comes to offensive power, the name of tight end Rob Gronkowski, holder of four Super Bowl rings and five Pro Bowl selections, makes any defense nervous.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rely on the great friendship that “Gronk” has with his quarterback Tom Brady, with whom he won three NFL championships in the Patriots and one more in the Bucs, to count on him again in the season 2022.

The 33-year-old tight end had already retired from football in 2018, but returned in 2020 to accompany Brady on his Buccaneers adventure that ended with a title.

The podium of stars of this free agency is completed by the two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, in 2017 and 2019, Trey Flowers.

Flowers is a pass rusher who had his best time on Tom Brady’s Pats when he had 21 sacks between 2016 and 2018.

Thanks to his aggressive pressure on quarterbacks, the 28-year-old defender signed a $90 million contract with the Detroit Lions in 2019.

He proved his worth since the first season with 51 tackles and seven sacks and although injuries reduced his performance in 2020 and 2021, it has not prevented the Patriots, Ravens, Eagles and Panthers from being interested in signing him for the 2022 season.
