John Jairo Mosquera will not sign for Real Tomayapo: he did not pass the medical exams

The sporting future of John Jairo Mosquera is still uncertain, after his departure from Sporting Cristal at the beginning of May. After being released, the Colombian striker looked for his new destination and this Monday it became known that he had great options to sign for Real Tomayapo of Bolivia, and even posed with the club’s shirt.

However, the plans changed abruptly in the last few hours, as one of the requirements of the highland institution did not materialize. According to Gime Osorio, a journalist who covers the Bolivian league, the attacker failed to pass the medical exams and that aspect truncated the transfer.

The player Mosquera will not sign with the Real Tomayapo club. This morning all the medical reports arrived and the footballer did not convince the coaching staff or managers. In this way, his signing is ruled out”, reported the same source.

Let us remember that John Jairo left the ranks of Sporting Cristal due to his physical problems, which caused his little continuity. Roberto Mosquera, coach of the ‘Celestes’, revealed that the athlete suffered from bone edema (inflammation in the bone) and that they did not know the complication of his injury when they signed him.

Given this negative scenario, the Colombian striker will have to continue looking for a new team and the Bolivian tournament seems to be his clearest option. It is worth mentioning that the footballer played for three seasons at Royal Pari (since 2018), where he scored 35 goals in 62 games; while he was part of Always Ready (a goal in five games) and Guabirá during 2021 (nine goals in 16 presentations).

The opaque passage of Mosquera in Cristal

John Jairo Mosquera came to Sporting Cristal to become the scorer the institution needed, but he couldn’t stand out and he said goodbye without inflating the nets. Affected by injuries and poor performance, the attacker only played four games in League 1 and another two for the Copa Libertadores.
