The announced strike of the transportation union on Monday, July 4, which is approaching, has caused the match between Universitario and UTC, for matchday 19 of the Opening Tournament of League 1, precisely scheduled for that day, to have to change the date. The news was announced by the merengue club through a statement.
“Given the announcement of the strike by the carriers’ union in Lima and Callao, scheduled for Monday, July 4, the National Police of Peru has requested the Peruvian Football Federation to reschedule our match against the Technical University of Cajamarca, not be able to ensure their presence at this meeting due to the situation that the country is going through”detailed the institution.
With this scenario, Universitario exhorted “The authorities of the Professional Football League to expedite this request and advance, ideally, our match for this Sunday, July 3”.
The ‘U’ insisted that the determination be known as soon as possible. “We hope for a prompt response so that we can communicate to our adherent partners and fans the start date of ticket sales for our next match”was the final text of the pronouncement.
So far, the duel between Universitario and UTC is scheduled for this Monday, July 4 at 7:00 pm, at the Monumental Stadium.
