Dani Alves, desired in Liga MX: Pumas presented an offer for the side, they report in Brazil

The football destiny of Dani Alves is still unknown, after his second stage in the ranks of Barcelona. After finishing the 2021-22 season, the 39-year-old athlete was released and is looking for a new destination, which could be Mexico: from Brazil they revealed that Pumas UNAM has already made a formal offer.

Bruno Andrade, a journalist from UOL Esporte, stated that the Mexican club has made significant progress in the talks to sign the right-back and there has already been a concrete proposal. According to the same source, the offer implies a contract valid for one year (until June 2023).

The Brazilian portal also highlights that the Pumas board is optimistic about receiving a positive response this week (they will wait until Sunday, July 9). The expectation increases and the fans of the ‘Universitarios’ are the most excited about the possible reinforcement.

In addition, the possibility of reaching Liga MX can be seen positively by Dani Alves, who intends to remain at a high level of competition with a view to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Let us remember that the side has once again been key in the selection from Brazil and has been a regular starter in Tite’s scheme.

It is worth mentioning that the 2022 Apertura Tournament in Mexico started last weekend and Pumas UNAM could only draw 1-1, at home, against Tijuana. On the second date, those led by Andrés Lillini will visit Club León (July 9, at 7:00 pm Peruvian and Mexican time).

How did Dani Alves go in Barcelona?

Dani Alves joined the ranks of Barcelona in the middle of the season and only participated in LaLiga Santander, since he did not reach a quota to play in the Europa League. Under the command of Xavi Hernández, the winger played 14 games (13 starts), in which he registered three assists and one goal.
