Neymar went to rest: judge, a football fan, released the Brazilian from the first day of the trial

Neymar returned to Barcelona this Monday, October 17, for the start of the trial against him, for alleged corruption in the negotiation of his sale of Santos to Barcelona. The complaint imposed by the DIS Group, which owned 40% of the striker’s rights, is being reviewed by a Barcelona court and the Brazilian was present on the first day of the litigation.

However, the great anecdote in this initial session was carried out by the president of the Chamber, José Manuel del Amo, who excused the PSG striker from continuing in the trial to allow him to rest. It should be noted that this decision was taken after the request of ‘Ney”s lawyer.

As you remember, Neymar came to Barcelona from Paris after playing against Olympique de Marseille, a team against which he scored a goal and later underwent anti-doping control. For this reason, the judge, who declared himself a soccer lover, decreed that the Brazilian could be absent ensuring the following: “While you scored a goal, I was already in bed.”

After these words, the player himself and his representatives began to laugh at the anecdotal event. That yes, the ’10’ of the Parisian squad stood up a few minutes later and left the room to take a break, while his team was still present to continue with the trial. However, Neymar will have to attend this Tuesday to present statements, since this instance was brought forward in the process so that it does not affect his commitments with PSG.

What does the ‘Case Neymar 2′ consist of?

According to DIS, FC Barcelona and Santos agreed on a lower price than what was actually paid in order to decrease by 25 million euros that the Brazilian company should receive. Given this, they reported having been scammed since the difference was later paid through ten private contracts, which were signed with the player’s family.

For this reason, Neymar, his parents, Sandro Rosell, who at that time was the president of the Catalan club, Josep Maria Bartomeu in his capacity as former vice president and Odilio Rodríguez on behalf of Santos sat on the bench of the accused. It should be noted that FC Barcelona, as an entity, is also accused of alleged corruption in business with the transfer of the Brazilian.
