When will the list of summoned Ecuador for the World Cup be known?

The Ecuador national team has experienced really tense moments in recent months: the complaints from Peru and Chile for the ‘Byron Castle Case’ they still do not allow knowing for sure the participation of the ‘Tri’ in the World Cup Qatar 2022.

However, the litigation that is still being debated in the TAS has not been an excuse to stop the preparation of the Ecuadorian team for the World Cup. Those led by Gustavo Alfaro played two friendlies during the FIFA date against Saudi Arabia and Japan, both games ended with a scoreless score.

When would the squad for the World Cup be announced?

In this process, the ‘teacher’ Alfaro would already have defined who would be in charge of defending the tricolor in Qatar. We will know the names on Friday, October 21, the deadline that FIFA imposes to announce the preliminary list of 35 players (it can be up to 55). This call will have to be reduced to 26 players on November 14, before the start of the World Cup.
