Ronmel Palomino made the first call in Inca roads. The Team Wari driver won the Super Prime in La Chutana, showing that this year he can be a candidate to win the test.
The rider beat Raúl Orlandini by tenths (01:38:10 against 01:38:36) on the lap of the La Chutana circuit. “Happy to have achieved the first place of the Super Prime. We have done a good job,” he commented.
However, Ronmel knows that this is just an appetizer in the midst of all that Caminos del Inca means. “You have to go with your head, be constant because Caminos is very long,” he says.
Ronmel races in a new Yaris, so he has to hold hands stage by stage. That is why the pilot is cautious. “We are getting used to the new car. We are still working on the programs,” he said.
Ronmel after winning the Super Prime
The Super Prime determines the starting point for the Lima-Huancayo stage that runs this Sunday starting from Canta. However, the top five could choose where to start.
Thus, the start of the race will be made by Fausto Farfán, then Jorge Palomino. Third will be Ronmel, fourth Ian Sierlecki and fifth the ‘Mono’ Orlandini.
