Olimpia de Honduras is going through a small soccer crisis in its national tournament, accumulating three games without winning (two draws and one loss). Curiously, the team did not manage to score goals in those games and, therefore, there is concern in the coach Pedro Troglio.

The experienced strategist accumulated four local titles in a row (from Apertura 2019 to Apertura 2021), managing to make history, and now he will try to achieve glory at the international level. It is worth mentioning that the ‘Albos’ won the Concacaf League in 2017, in the first edition.

One of the main objectives for Olimpia will be to end the offensive drought, so the appearance of Michaell Chirinos will be important, who has two goals and two assists in the tournament. Brayan Moya, Jerry Bengtson and Jorge Benguche registered the same number of celebrations, but with less incidence in the group.

For its part, Alajuelense, who was champion of the Concacaf League in 2020, also arrives in the midst of sporting doubts, with two draws in a row and a recent defeat in the Costa Rican League (2-0 against Saprissa). The aforementioned duel left the club out of the fight for the national title.

Without responsibilities in the local competition, coach Fabián Coito points everything to the international tournament. Although against Real Spain, in the previous round, there were doubts about the team’s performance, now, with more time to prepare, ‘Rojinegros’ will seek a good result away from home.
