Mourinho reveals that his player in Roma betrayed the team in the draw against Sassuolo

Roma’s squad was unable to return to winning ways in Serie A and only drew a draw in their visit to Sassuolo, for matchday 14. The performance of José Mourinho’s team was not so convincing and the coach assured that there was a clear reason: one of his players betrayed his teammates.

During the match, Tammy Abraham had overtaken the ‘Loba’ on the scoreboard (81′) and, shortly after, Andrea Pinamonti (85′) equalized. After the final whistle at the Mapei Stadium, the Portuguese coach spoke at a press conference and was very critical of one of his coaches, although he decided not to directly reveal his name.

“The team effort was betrayed by the unprofessional attitude of one player. I had 16 footballers on the field, I liked the attitude of 15. I will not say who he is, but I already invited him to look for a new club in January ”Mourinho stated before the media, generating great surprise.

Immediately, the Italian press began to inquire about the athlete who was singled out by ‘Mou’ and everything indicates that it would be Rick Karsdorp. The Dutch defender came on in the second half (65 ′) and was the protagonist in Sassuolo’s equalizing goal: he had little aggressiveness when marking Armand Lauriente and left the way free to assist Pinamonti.

Recall that the 27-year-old right-back from the Netherlands signed for Roma in 2017, after his time at Feyenoord. Currently, the footballer has a contract until June 2025, but everything indicates that his stay in the Roman squad will end soon.
