Jürgen Klopp on the Colombian Luis Díaz: “He is running and he looks very good”

He would be back on the lawn soon. Luis Díaz was injured and, according to his coach, his recovery is on the right track. Liverpool will clash against Southampton in the Premier League and Jürgen Klopp referred to the physical condition of the Colombian National Team footballer.

“I am happy with the number of players we have for our training. Luis Díaz is running now and he looks very good. We have enough time and we need them healthy as it is a long season after the World Cup.” said the German coach in statements to the press.

The ‘Reds’ footballer suffered a serious injury to his right knee since last October 9 and more than a month after what happened, he has been recovering little by little.

Luis Díaz has missed a total of nine games with Liverpool: the last match of the UEFA Champions League group stage, six Premier League games and two Carabao Cup games.

Jurgen Klopp suspended

Manager Jurgen Klopp received a one-match suspension for his sending off during Liverpool’s win over Manchester City last month.

The English Football Association (FA) has successfully appealed the decision to only fine Klopp for his outburst with a referee at the Premier League match at Anfield.

Klopp had initially been fined £30,000 by an independent regulatory commission for his conduct on October 16.

The FA found that too lenient and an independent appeals board suspended Klopp with immediate effect on Friday.

Klopp also received a warning regarding his conduct in future matches. Liverpool play Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.
