‘Chicho’ Salas confirmed that he will renew with Alianza Lima: “This week it should close”

Alianza Lima had a brilliant campaign closing at the hands of Guillermo Salas, who took over as coach in the midst of the soccer doubts left by Carlos Bustos. Finally, after winning the Clausura and being one of the best of the accumulated, ‘Chicho’ led his team to the Liga 1 title, which meant the two-time championship for the club.

Due to the good results, the national coach assured that he will extend his relationship with the La Victoria institution. “We still need to talk, we still haven’t had the opportunity to get together. There is intention on both sides, so this week we should be closing everything (the renovation)”explained the strategist to TV Peru.

In addition, Guillermo Salas was happy with the love he receives from the fans: “When the fans are happy with the titles, they are the ones who ask you. It’s gratifying that the fans chant your name, that they always come and fill the stadiums like this. It is impressive, we are very happy with his encouragement”.

On the other hand, ‘Chicho’ revealed that he received several congratulatory messages for what he had achieved with Alianza Lima. “I spoke with Paulo Autuori, he always calls me, he is aware of my achievements; like Professor Pablo Bengoechea. Also ‘Chemo’ del Solar and Franco Navarro, are the four technicians who have called me”he confessed.

In this sense, Guillermo Salas referred to the comments that compare him with Gustavo Costas, due to the emotion and adrenaline: “Yeah, maybe (they look alike in style), he’s my friend. For now he has not contacted me, Professor Rubén Darío Insúa did, he is a coach who marks a lot in the football career ”.

Finally, ‘Chicho’ referred to Juan Reynoso, the new coach of the Peruvian team, who has not yet been able to visit Alianza Lima’s training sessions. “The doors of the institution are always open and I wish you the best of success”concluded the coach.
