“He called me crying and shouting”: Thiago Almada’s father on his call

Thiago Almada, due to Joaquín Correa’s injury, was called up to the Argentine national team. The midfielder remained on the list of the 26 possible summoned by Scaloni until the last moment; finally the DT would opt for Lo Celso. However, football, like life, like almost everything, gives you second chances.

In an emotional interview, Diego Almada, Thiago’s father, mentioned the exact moment his son gave him the news.

“Thiago called me crying and shouting, letting me know of his call. He caught me traveling to Qatar, because he had given me tickets for his father’s day. We can’t believe it, it’s the icing on the cake. Now we are all going to have to travel ”, mentioned the father.

Then a video would be shared where the player is seen surrounded by his family celebrating the call. They chanted loudly: “You have to jump, whoever doesn’t jump won’t go to Qatar.”
