The 2022 World Cup began this Sunday at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, with Ecuador’s 2-0 victory over Qatar, the organizing country. However, not only what happened on the pitch drew attention, but also what happened in the stands: an Ecuadorian fan had had a word with a Qatari fan, but later they became friends.
During the first half, in one of Enner Valencia’s goals for the ‘Tri’, a fan decided to celebrate effusively in the stands and made a provocative gesture, making signs about money. The other South American attendees reacted with laughter to the scene, although the local public did not look very comfortable.
Precisely, a fan of the Qatari team, with notorious anger, reacted and exchanged words with the young Ecuadorian. The images quickly went viral through social networks, but it was learned that the altercation had no major consequences.

A short time later, the Qatari fan had a friendly conversation with his partner from the Ecuadorian team and they clarified, through a video, that it was only a moment of effervescence in the match. “Sometimes passion makes us collapse”explained the follower of the ‘Tri’, who was with his daughter.
“This is a beautiful game”, highlighted the man who was supporting the Qatar team, while shaking hands with his companion, as a sign of friendship. In this way, it became clear that, despite the difference between the shirt that each one defends, there was no major problem in the stands.
