Luis Enrique highlighted his team after Spain’s win over Costa Rica: “I liked the whole team”

The Spanish team started the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on the right foot by beating Costa Rica 7-0. After the commitment, the technical director of La Roja, Luis Enrique, provided an analysis of the victory that places the European team in first place in group F and one step away from qualifying for the round of 16.

“It was a very special match for us. We have placed special emphasis on waiting for the competition well and it has turned out well for us. It is usually difficult for us to start the competitions, but we have done very well. It was a very important victory.”he declared at a press conference.

In the same way, he highlighted the performance of his managers. “I liked everything about the team, that’s the truth. The idea was for the midfield players to touch the ball a lot and then from there the quality footballers we have have appeared. And then there is the defensive attitude, which has been beastly, commendable”he explained.

Despite the favorable result, the Spanish coach pointed out that his team remains calm ahead of the next game. “Now we have to work for something else, but I already tell you that this team is not going to relax. Germany can beat us because they are a power, but we are going to go out and play in the same way”he pointed.

“Praise weakens, but this team is not going to relax. There are going to be lineup changes as well. Germany can beat us, but it will not be for lack of relaxation ”he added.

When is Spain vs. Germany?

The Spanish team faces Germany this Sunday, November 27, starting at 2 pm (Peruvian time). A victory for the team led by Luis Enrique will qualify them for the round of 16, while that result will mark the elimination of the Teutonic team that lost to Japan on the first date.
