World Cup 2022: Blues in full force ahead of Tunisia

They are all there! The Blues finished Tuesday’s game early in the day at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, where they have been training since the start of the competition. In the enclosure, for the first time since their arrival, a powerful air conditioner was activated, the level of polar cold, if any, while the day slowly slips away in the coolness of Al Saad, the area where these installations are located. It was the French team that asked for this in order to find themselves in the same conditions as in the match, where air conditioning will be activated in the stadium of the city of education this Wednesday.

Alphonse Areola returned to the line-up, who had suffered from minor back pain the day before. Didier Deschamps’ 24 players were preparing to hone their automatism on Tuesday ahead of the final World Cup group stage game against Tunisia (this Wednesday at 4:00 pm in France). The Blues have already reached the round of 16 of the tournament, and their opponent is still hoping to win his ticket.

By this third match, Didier Deschamps has to largely change his workforce. “This is an international match against an opponent who is playing for qualification. We will make sure we get the best possible result, he said at a press conference Tuesday morning. This situation allows me to be in control. There is no risk, there is talk about the players’ own feelings. I still have time, I will make a decision tomorrow, i.e. in this Wednesday.

Only the first quarter of an hour of this session was open to the media. His group started with a warm-up, when the ball was in the hands, and then in the legs, each gave it to the other in a constant movement of one or two. Stretching followed, then support work before continuing behind closed doors.
