Gianni Infantino to the aid of a man who waved a rainbow flag before his eyes? The story may seem funny, but it is quite real, at least according to the main stakeholder. Mario Ferri, aka “Il Falco”, interrupted the meeting between Portugal and Uruguay on Monday evening by crossing the lawn with a rainbow flag in support of the LGBTQ+ community. The Italian was then arrested by the security service and the police quietly took care of him.
Mario Ferri then detailed the aftermath of his evening with Spanish radio. Onda Sero : “I am free. I spent a hard night not in prison, but in a police station in Qatar. “Il Falco” assures that FIFA President Gianni Infantino intervened in the situation. “Infantino came at four in the morning and helped me. He told me: now you, why? Qatar is very dangerous for you,” the Italian viewer explained. The man said he replied that “the message that (he) sent was very important,” the FIFA president could say this “to help”.

Mario Ferri still remembered the essence of his gesture on Spanish radio. “I like to go on the field during matches, but always with good intentions and such messages. “Perhaps we could see him again by the end of this 2022 World Cup. If only this small passage through the “police” box does not dissuade him.
