“They are all a bunch of thieves”: Giménez exploded after Uruguay’s elimination | VIDEO

The elimination of the Uruguayan team from the Qatar 2022 World Cup left a huge annoyance for the players. One of the most effusive was José María Giménez, who got out of control and hit a FIFA member with his elbow when he tried to approach the referees to claim them for some plays against Ghana, after the match.

Seconds later, ‘Josema’ continued to make her anger public and fired when a camera was in front of her. “Sleeve of thieves. They’re all a bunch of thieves, these sons of bitches. Yes record me. The *** of his mother”, exclaimed the footballer who plays for Atlético de Madrid.

For this reason and what the referee states in his report, FIFA will now open a disciplinary procedure that will analyze the fact and determine whether or not there is a sanction for Giménez.

Giménez, totally out of control

In the aforementioned images, it can be seen how Giménez goes towards the referee, amid the hubbub that there was already of his teammates around the referee, and, when he approaches a person in a FIFA suit, he raises his elbow and hits him in the the back of the head, while continuing on his way to the referee to protest the two penalties that he did not signal during the duel and that could have meant the classification of the ‘Celeste’.

The Uruguayan soccer players focus on two controversial actions, both 2-0 (had they scored a few more goals they would have reached the round of 16, even with South Korea’s 2-1 win against Portugal that finally left them out): one It is the penalty that they demanded against Darwin Núñez midway through the second half and another, already at 90, in a fight in which Edinson Cavani was knocked down inside the area. The first was reviewed by the VAR and by the referee on the monitor, although he rejected that it was a maximum penalty.

As soon as the referee signaled the end of the match, several footballers, including Edinson Cavani and Diego Godín, went to protest to the referee. They are then joined at full speed by Giménez, with several people ahead on his way to Daniel Siebert.
