France-Poland: Mbappe’s fabulous double to score the Blues’ second and third goals

Kylian Mbappe continues his almost perfect World Cup. This Sunday, in the round of 16 match against Poland, the PSG striker scored an incredible brace. First, France’s second goal as the last quarter of an hour approaches (74th). And all this as a result of a counterattack, which was excellently led by Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele. Alone at the entrance to the Polish court, slightly off center on the left side, Mbappe landed a powerful right hand to deceive Wojciech Szczesny.

This is the fourth goal of the former Monegasque at this World Cup 2022 after a goal against Australia (4:1) and a double against Denmark (2:1). Silent, despite entering the game against Tunisia (0:1), Mbappe finds his way to the goal. And more than twice than once, as he did it again in the 91st minute with a right hand in the opposite corner of the Juventus goalkeeper.

This is his 8th and 9th goals in total at the World Cup. Total is already better than Cristiano Ronaldo, for example. And all this before he celebrated his 24th birthday.

In the first period against Poland, Mbappe signed an assist for Olivier Giroud (44th), the latter’s 52nd cap for France. Historical record.
