Kylian Mbappé shared his emotion after qualifying for France: “This World Cup is my obsession”

Kylian Mbappé already has a World Cup in his showcase and it is Russia 2018, but he aims to get another and, for now, he is on the right track. The French team advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Poland (3-1) with two goals from the popular ‘Donatello’ who was chosen as the figure of the engagement.

The ‘Blues’ forward pointed out that this year his mind has been set on this tournament. “This World Cup is my obsession, it is the competition of my dreams. I have built my entire season around this competition. I have prepared myself to the fullest both physically and mentally to win it, which is the goal I set for myself, although it is still a long way off”he mentioned.

On the other hand, the Paris Saint-Germain attacker recognized the virtues of the Polish team. The player pointed out that the squad led by Robert Lewandowski complicated his team and stressed that in these final instances, the opponents are strong.

“It was not an easy game, the rival made it difficult for us. But we have known how to control the situation and overcome difficult moments that we had. We are happy to continue the adventure”explained the 23-year-old footballer.

It is important to mention that Kylian Mbappé is, up to now, the top scorer of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. ‘Kiki’ has five goals in four games and can continue stretching. In Russia 2018, the athlete registered four goals.

When will the French team play again?

The French team will play the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup this Saturday, December 10, against the winner of the key between England and Senegal. The commitment is agreed for 2 pm (Peruvian time) at the Al Bayt Stadium.
