World Cup: “I didn’t like it,” Cristiano Ronaldo reformulated his coach

A small tackle just before the start of the 1/8 finals. Portugal coach Fernando Santos said on Monday he “didn’t like Cristiano Ronaldo’s behavior at all” when he was substituted against South Korea on Friday in his team’s third group match at the World Cup.

During this match, lost 2-1 by Portugal, Ronaldo was substituted in the 65th minute of the game. Images showed that he was very unhappy and he explained that his anger was due to a discussion with an opposing player.

“I answered after the game and I will do it again here. I don’t know anything about what happened on the pitch, I just saw him arguing with a Korean. I don’t want to talk about this anymore, but about tomorrow’s match (ed. note: Monday), ”Fernando Santos was the first to say.

“These stories should be decided within the company”

“But I saw the pictures and I didn’t like them at all. I really didn’t like it at all. These stories must be resolved internally, which has been done. A complete stop in this matter,” he added.

“This happened before my replacement. The Korean player told me to leave quickly and I told him to shut up because he has no authority. He doesn’t need to say anything,” defended the man who became the first player in Qatar to score on Friday at five different World Cups. According to Spanish press reports, the Portuguese star will join Al-Nasr club in Saudi Arabia from January 1 after breaking his contract with Manchester United by mutual agreement.

Portugal will play Switzerland on Tuesday (20:00) in the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. One of these two teams will face the winner Spain-Morocco in the quarterfinals.
