Brazilian players pay tribute to Pelé after qualifying for the World Cup quarterfinals

Pelé has been causing concern for a few days, as he underwent treatment to fight his colon cancer. The legend is admitted to the Israelite Albert Einstein Hospital and, since the World Cup in Qatar 2022, the players of the Brazilian team have given him all their support.

After the rout of South Korea (4-1) at Stadium 974 – Ras Abu Aboud, those led by Tite met in the middle of the field and took out a poster with the face of O King. They dedicated the qualification to the quarterfinals of the tournament to the three-time world champion.

Allison, Militao, Marquinhos, Neymar, Thiago Silva, Casemiro, Vinícius Júnior, Richarlison, Danilo, Rodrygo, among others, wished the Santos idol a speedy recovery. In the same way, the ‘Canarinha’ fans, who were at the venue, also joined in this tribute.

Although, the fans are calmer due to the message that Pelé published last Saturday in which he details that his health is stable. “My friends, I want to keep everyone calm and positive. I am strong, with great enthusiasm and I follow my treatment as always “reads at the beginning.

“I want to thank the entire medical and nursing team for all the care I received (…) I have great faith in God and every message of love I receive from you all over the world keeps me full of energy. And look at Brazil in the World Cup too!” added.

When will Brazil vs. Croatia?

The Brazilian team continues on its way to the sixth title, although this time it will face Croatia in the quarterfinals. The commitment is scheduled for this Friday, December 9 at 10 am (Peruvian time)
