Peruvian team lost 1-0 to Uruguay in U-20 friendly

The Peruvian team is getting ready for its participation in the South American U-20 tournament that will begin on January 19 of next year in Colombia. In this sense, the ‘Blanquirroja’ played a friendly match against Uruguay on Thursday in La Videna, although the result ended in defeat (1-0).

The ‘Bicolor’, led by Jaime Serna, commanded this starting eleven: Denzel Caña, Aron Sánchez, Matías Lazo, Kluivert Aguilar, Sebastián Aranda, Jack Carhuallanqui, Junior Aguirre, David, Mejía, André Vásquez, Kenji Cabrera and Diego Otoya. While the visiting team formed with Randall Rodríguez, Mateo Ponte, Sebastián Boselli, Alan Matturro, Mathías De Ritis, Rodrigo Chagas, Damián García, Franco González, Luciano Rodríguez, Renzo Sánchez and Emiliano Rodríguez.

In the first half, both teams had great opportunities to score, however, the scoring only opened after 43 minutes thanks to a goal by Luciano Rodríguez. Then, the two teams went to rest.

In the complementary stage, Peru came out more aggressive with the search for the tie and achieved it at 64 ‘, but the goal was annulled. Despite the attempts, the national team did not equalize and Uruguay took the victory by the slightest difference.

The Peruvian team continues its preparation this Saturday, December 9 when it will face the ‘Celeste’ again and will seek revenge. Then, they will collide this Tuesday the 13th against Colombia and, again, they will face the ‘Tricolor’ on Thursday the 15th. All the commitments will be played at La Videna.
