The FPF gave an ultimatum to Deportivo Municipal

Deportivo Municipal fans receive worrying news before the end of the year. The mayor club is at risk of not participating in the 2023 League 1 due to a statement from the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) that sends it an ultimatum to present some documents.

The governing body of Peruvian soccer pointed out last Monday, December 5, that the institution “has not submitted any of the documents required to prove that it does not maintain overdue debts from years prior to 2023 of the concepts to the aforementioned documents whose submission deadline is December ten (10) of the current year”

“In addition, we want to remind you of the importance of presenting this documentation, because with the Licensing Regulations for Clubs in Professional Soccer this document has the category of an essential condition to maintain the License, so non-compliance could mean the refusal or the revocation of the corresponding License”reads the document that was published by Ovación on its website

In the same way, FPF urged the ‘Fringe’ “to initiate the corresponding actions before the FPF institutions, the Conciliation and Dispute Resolution Chamber and the SAFAP in order to obtain these certificates.”

It is important to mention that Municipal is not the only club that runs the risk of not participating in League 1 2023. A few days ago, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) denied the license to compete in the local tournament to the pink team and, That way, it descends to the Second Division, although the decision can still be appealed.

According to the document of the Peruvian soccer governing body, the Callao club “has breached the obligation established in numeral 90.3 of article 90 of the Licensing Regulations by not having established the guarantee trust”.
