Dominik Livakovic aims to reach the final: “We are a team of warriors”

Dominik Livaković became the figure in Croatia’s qualification to the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The goalkeeper stopped the large number of shots on goal that the Brazilian players tried during regulation time and overtime. He even capped his performance by saving Rodrygo’s shot during the penalty shootout.

After the match, the goalkeeper highlighted the efforts of his teammates who continued to fight, despite Neymar’s initial goal. “We are a team of warriors, a team that never stops fighting. We came to be at a disadvantage, but we equalized the game and we were able to go to the semifinals “he said at a press conference.

Along the same lines, the goalkeeper pointed out that the team is focused on taking revenge on Russia 2018 when it came out runner-up. “We will maintain that nature as soccer players, it is our feeling on the field and we will try to reach the final of a World Cup again,” mentioned.

Likewise, he dedicated special words to the fans who attended the Ciudad de la Educación Stadium and also to those who cheered from a distance. “Thanks to all the fans who were here and those who helped from home”narrowed.

It is not the first time that Dominik Livaković has put on the hero’s cape to save his team at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. In the round of 16, the goalkeeper saved three shots during the penalty shootout against Japan.
