Walid Regragui, Moroccan coach, on winning the World Cup: “Dreaming doesn’t cost anything”

Morocco You can make history this Wednesday, December 14. In a semifinal that has generated a lot of expectation, the African team will face the always favorite France for the pass to the final of the World Cup Qatar 2022.

On the part of the ‘Atlas Lions’, confidence is at its peak, at least that’s how Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan squad, made it clear. “They ask me if we can win the World Cup and I say why we couldn’t dream of winning the World Cup. Dreaming doesn’t cost anything,” said the French-born coach.

Likewise, Regragui added: “The teams are used to winning the World Cup and we have faced great rivals, we have not had it easy.”

Finally, the coach pointed out that his rivals have respect for his team, since they have been in charge of leaving great teams like Belgium and Portugal out of the tournament. “Anyone who plays us is going to be afraid of us,” he added.

Morocco has a brilliant opportunity to rewrite the World Cup history books. If they manage to beat the French team, full of figures like Kylian Mbappé, they will become the first African team to reach a World Cup final.
