FIFA World Cup: Paris metro station “Argentina” renamed “France” RATP.

Final stop, all Deschamps! Line 1 users will not be able to set foot on the Argentina station this Sunday morning. Not today and not when, in a few hours in Doha, the Blues will cross swords with Albiceleste in the World Cup final to find out which of the two teams will get the privilege of putting a third star on their jersey.

Accustomed to renaming its stations from time to time for small communications operations, the RATP jumped at the chance again and showed its support for Les Bleus by renaming its “Argentina” station to “France” station. Thus, along the piers and the station, the word “Argentina” was replaced in some places by the words “France” or “Allez les Bleus!” “Subtitled ‘2022 World Cup Final’ or ‘Argentina-France’. Enough to keep Argentina at bay?

In 2018, after the band’s coronation by Didier Deschamps, RATP has already distinguished itself by renaming several stations to pay homage to the heroes of the second star. “We won Avron”, “Charles de Gaulle – we have 2 stars”, “Victor Hugo Lloris”, “Bercy Les Bleus”… in the hope that the RATP will not lose these panels if they are needed on Monday.
