Carlos Zambrano would no longer have the confidence of coach Hugo Ibarra and would have his bags ready to leave Boca Juniors. After an alleged discussion between the player and DT, the relationship between the two would have broken, according to the Argentine press.
The journalist from the TyC Sports chain would have corroborated the information that the 33-year-old player and the club reached an agreement to end the employment contract that bound them until June 2023.
According to ‘Olé’, the national defender would have claimed to the coach that Luis Advíncula and Jonathan Fabra had more rest days, causing a discussion that would have ended with the annoyance on the part of the coach.
“The discussion would have risen in tone and Ibarra felt that Zambrano disrespected him. So he decided to punish him”, noted the newspaper. The initial punishment for the center-back was the immediate separation from the group and the DT would have indicated to the managers that he would not be taken into account from now on.
In addition, various media also ensured that the ‘Kaiser’ did not show up for Boca Juniors training and would have already said goodbye to his teammates. Thus, the Peruvian’s career in Boca would come to an end after three years of relationship.
