‘Training to achieve my goals at PSG’: Neymar’s good decision for 2023

Even if he is suspended for this Sunday’s New Year’s Eve game against Lens (20:45), Neymar still spent the end of 2022 in Paris after being expelled by Strasbourg. It was from his home in the Paris area that he recorded and then posted on his social networks a video of wishes for his very many fans around the world.

A video of about thirty seconds long, all in simplicity and sobriety, in which he reveals, among other things, his goals for 2023 with Paris Saint-Germain. “I will spend the end of the year here training to achieve my goals in PSG, the Champions League and the French Championship,” says the Brazilian. Either way, we’ll chase them all! And to all of you who have followed everything that has happened in my 2022 coming to an end, I hope you can achieve your goals and dreams by always keeping the faith! Happy New Year 2023 to all of you. May God bless you and protect you. Huge kiss! »

2022 has been an eventful year for the former Barça player, who celebrated his 30th birthday on 5 February. The club has an overall positive balance despite the early elimination of PSG in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. From a personal point of view, he was primarily distinguished by a great start to the 2022/23 season at club level (35 games, 25 goals, 18 assists in all competitions in 2022 for PSG). Even if this year is marked primarily by a World Cup setback, an injury that sees him miss the last two group matches and a quarter-final elimination against Croatia.
