Arsenal have reportedly made a third bid to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Gunners have made the 21-year-old winger their main target for the January transfer window but have yet to reach a deal with Shakhtar.

Arsenal have already seen two offers for Mudryk rejected by Shakhtar, who has a fee of around £85 million.

But acc Fabrizio RomanoArsenal have now submitted a third bid amounting to nearly €70 million (£62 million), excluding add-ons.

Meanwhile, SportArena reports that Arsenal and Shakhtar have had extensive talks over the deal’s bonus structure, with the Ukrainian side claiming add-ons are worth 20 per cent of the total fee.

It is clear that Mudryk has already developed a personal connection with Arsenal and is eager to join Mikel Arteta this month.

The Ukraine international has posted several posts on Instagram in recent weeks to make it clear to his followers that he is keeping an eye on Arsenal’s development.

On Thursday, Mudryk uploaded a photo to Instagram which shows a video of him wearing the Arsenal shirt during a photo shoot.

Chelsea also held initial talks this month to sign Mudryk for Arsenal.

However, it is clear that Chelsea’s approach was ‘exploratory’ and they have no intention of matching Shakhtar’s £85 million asking price.
