Crisis at FFF: Inspector General to bring justice to justice on Le Grae for ‘sexist outrage’

The case of Noel Le Grand is in danger of taking a legal turn. According to information from Le Monde, which we can confirm, the president of the French Football Federation, recalled by the FFF executive committee on Wednesday, was informed on Friday by the General Inspectorate for Education, Sports and Research (IGESR), responsible for conducting the audit in the Federation, that he would be drawn up notification to the court in accordance with Article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

This article requires public servants to report to the courts crimes or offenses of which they become aware in the performance of their duties. If, to our knowledge, the first testimony collected as part of this investigation did not reveal criminally reprehensible facts, then the evening paper explains that it was the interrogation of agent Sonia Sweed on Tuesday, January 10, that prompted the investigators to do so. inform the Parisian prosecutor, in this case of “sexist contempt”. Sonia Sweed gave several interviews to L’Equipe and BFM in which she said that she was the object of advances from Noel Le Grae.

“During this meeting, he told me quite clearly that if we were closer, my ideas would materialize,” she explained, in part, to BFM. In any case, he would be much more motivated to help me in this direction. […] I get a huge slap in the face because I have a federation president who sees me – as long as I feel competent, legitimate, I managed to do things – like two breasts and an ass. I was disappointed with my president. For me, it should be exemplary, but it was not. »

However, according to Le Monde, after this hearing, the inspectors heard from former FFF employees, as well as its CEO Florence Hardouin, who has since been fired, who brought new elements against the Federation president to their attention. 81 years and several weeks in turmoil.

Twice interrogated by the inspectorate, most recently on Tuesday, the former President of Guingamp has always denied the slightest inappropriate behavior towards women. He vowed it again on the heads of the Comex members on Wednesday, although the two women’s testimony, published by Le Parisien, portrayed the character as “perverted, contemptuous and unprincipled”.

The preliminary inspection report is due back at the end of January, with the final version expected on the desk of Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Caster in mid-February. It is on the basis of this document that the executive committee of the FFF and its interim president, Philippe Diallo, must decide on the future of Noel Le Grae. Thus, who could, after the operation of Article 40, also play in court.

In a poll conducted by Odoxa for Winamax and RTL, published on Saturday ahead of the release of this information, seven out of ten French people say they want Le Graet to step down as president of the French federation.
