Indignation and concern caused this Thursday the appearance of a doll with the shirt of Vinicius Jr. on the eve of Real Madrid vs Atletico for the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey, next to an offensive banner. The authors would be ‘mattress’ fans, for which the rojiblanco club has ruled against it.
On a Madrid highway, according to a video broadcast on social networks, a poster with the legend “Madrid hates Real” is seen and a doll with Vinicius’s Real Madrid shirt hanging from the bridge.
Atlético de Madrid announced that it “strongly condemns” the act and insisted that it is “against any type of violence and insult”. Through a statement, he explained that “he has always condemned and condemns any type of violent expression that alters the healthy rivalry in the city between the two hobbies.”
Already in the derby of the first round, played on September 18, on the outskirts of the Metropolitano stadium, more than a hundred rojiblancos ultras staged racist shouts against Vinicius.
This Thursday, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid will play their Copa del Rey quarterfinal match at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
