Dani Alves’ wife deletes photos with the footballer on Instagram

Joana Sanz, wife of Dani Alves, completely deleted the photographs she displayed with the footballer on Instagram in the middle of the process she is facing for an alleged rape in Barcelona (Spain). This after defending him at first, claiming her innocence on social networks.

The Brazilian defender stopped appearing on the model’s profile this Thursday morning, after the transfer of the player to a new provisional prison and new versions of the case.

The relatives of Alves, who denies having committed any crime, are now trying to restructure their defense to file an appeal to reverse the preventive detention order that the judge agreed on Friday “for an open cause for the crime of sexual assault” -which in the Spanish criminal code includes rape-, as requested by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to a source close to the case, the young woman accuses Alves of having raped her in the bathrooms of a private nightclub in Barcelona at the end of December.

According to the same source, the magistrate’s decision also weighed in on the player’s contradictions and the possible flight risk, taking into account the footballer’s high economic capacity and that, at that time, he was residing abroad.

Hours after the news was released, however, the Pumas announced the dismissal of Alves, who had a contract with the Mexican team until June 2023.
