To follow Diego Elías: CAR de Squash was inaugurated in Villa El Salvador

The idol triumphs on the PSA Squash circuit and many who want to follow in his footsteps will now have one more opportunity. The Peruvian Squash Federation together with the Legacy Project inaugurated the High Performance Center at the Villa El Salvador Sports Center.

In a joint effort, it was possible to have the first public professional headquarters for squash in our country in search of the growth of this sport. There are three sports courts for training in this discipline.

“For the first time, Peru has courts for the doubles modality. It is worth noting that without having this type of infrastructure, in the last Pan American Games we obtained a bronze medal. Now imagine what we can achieve”, declared Alejandro Ballón, president of the Peruvian Squash Federation, at the presentation.

“Villa El Salvador is becoming the axis of sports development in Lima and with this inauguration we take a big step because for the first time Peru will have public courts that will promote new talents, the discipline will become more widespread and various tournaments will be organized,” he said. The idea is to spread the sport. Diego Elías is the greatest figure we have and last Thursday he managed to win the Tournament of Champions in New York, being the third platinum tournament that he has won in his career.
