MotoGP: second in Argentina, Zarco made a show

Johann Zarko is still looking for the first win of his MotoGP career. But the Ducati Pramac driver sets the tracks on fire at the start of the season. Fourth in Portugal, where he had already made a crazy end of the race, he finished second at the Argentine Grand Prix this Sunday night after a crazy comeback.

During the Flood, Zarco was flying down the wet Termas Rio Honda track. Dropping to 8th on lap 5, the Cannes native devoured his rivals one by one (Jack Miller, Alex Rins and Fabio di Gianantonio) and ended his race with a superb last lap overtake of Alex Márquez (Ducati Gresini), which allowed him to snatch that beautiful 2nd place. Only Marco Besecchi (Ducati), who led too much, was immune to the unleashed Zarco.

“Bezzecchi was very strong all weekend. As for me, we pick up and keep moving forward, both in dry weather and in rain, to make even more progress, ”Zarco emphasized into the Canal + microphone.

The Italian achieves the first success of his career in MotoGP. This is Zarco’s 16th podium in the top category. He takes 3rd place in the World Cup standings.

Like Zarco, Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha Factory) is also well back. After contact with the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami on the first lap, he left in 16th position. But the Yamaha Factory rider played well and crossed the finish line in 7th place.
