‘Chemo’ del Solar on the win against Alianza in 2022: “It’s going to make me no longer champion… and I was wrong”

José Guillermo del Solar, current director of the technical unit for minors of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF)recalled the victory he obtained against Lima Alliance last year when he directed César Callejo.

In Trujillo, and in the final stretch of League 1, the ‘Poets’ defeated the Blue and Whites 3-2 at the Mansiche stadium in Trujillo. Not only the result drew attention, but also the effusive celebration that ‘Chemo’ del Solar had in the technical area.

Now, some time later, the strategist remembered that moment and revealed why he celebrated in this way.

“That celebration, I said: ‘Wednesday, this victory will mean that Alianza (Lima) will no longer be champion.’ And I was wrong, I was wrong, wow, ”he confessed in an interview with him on the Trinchera Crema channel.

In that match, the goals for César Vallejo were the work of Yorleys Mena, Alejandro Ramírez and Jairo Vélez, while Pablo Míguez and Hernán Barcos scored for Alianza Lima.

It is worth mentioning that, despite this defeat, Alianza Lima recovered and ended up lifting the national title, led by Guillermo Salas, after beating FBC Melgar in the final.
