Carlos Zambrano’s surgical crossing to avoid Libertad’s goal | VIDEO

Lima Alliance won again in Libertadores Cup after 30 games and it was not only possible because of his goals against Libertad, thanks to Aldair Rodríguez and Pablo Sabbag. The team as a whole played a good role and the defense also stood out, especially Carlos Zambrano, who recently left Boca Juniors to play for the first time with the club he loves.

The ‘Kaiser’ led the blue and white defense in the Defensores del Chaco and went viral on social networks at the end of the match for a specific play: around 58 minutes, when Alianza defended the partial 1-0, he slid with precision to avoid what would have been in the tie for ‘Gumarelo’, drowning out the goal cry for the Guarani.

Alianza Lima achieved a valuable 2-1 victory over Libertad in Asunción this Thursday, in a match of the second date of Group G of the Copa Libertadores 2023, which earned them to share command of the area with Athletico Paranaense.

With their victory, the team led by Guillermo Salas broke a streak of 30 games without winning in the main Conmebol club tournament, a result highly celebrated by the Blue and Whites.
