The European resistance collapsed at the beginning of the second half, in which Colombia opened the account after an error at the start that Oscar Cortés (47) took advantage of and immediately increased through Yaser Asprilla (49) and a brace from Tomás Angel (51 and 62).

The son of former international coffee striker Juan Pablo Ángel scored the third with a left-footed shot after a great individual play and assist from Johan Torres and the fourth goal with a definition entering diagonally from left to right.

Timotej Jambor (81) scored the Slovakian goal of honor and in injury time Cortés (90+3) signed his brace for the final 5-1 victory for Colombia, who in the quarterfinals will play against the winner of this afternoon’s match between England and Italy.
