‘I was fooled and manipulated’: AC President Ajaccio disputes Kenzo’s parents’ version

When we contacted him in Nicaragua, where he lives, on Sunday, the day after the alleged attack on Kenzo, an 8-year-old sick child and supporter of OM, Alain Orsoni, president of AC Ajaccio, was very re-arranged: “We have the means, to bring out the idiots who did it, and we’ll do it. After that, we will file a complaint against them. They have nothing more to do with us. »

Four days later, Alain Orsoni, rejoining Nicaragua, explains that he was “investigating”. It relies, in particular, on CCTV images. “Inevitably, when I found out what had happened, I was thrilled because the act as presented was despicable. But I was deceived and manipulated. Attention, I am not making excuses for three young men who entered the dressing room to steal a jersey. We can only condemn this stupidity. »

“But since Sunday, I have been collecting specific items that I have from the police. The invasion of the dressing room lasted only 12 seconds. Mother, who had gone everywhere, was not even present. So what can she say? The child has not been hurt yet. All the national press and even the President of the Republic spoke about this case … I have to defend my club. I have experience of dealing with us from many media, so I must respond. »

“We reserve the right to file a complaint”

As such, Alain Orsoni announced that he “reserves the right to file a complaint” against Kenzo’s parents. The Corsican Club issued a press release, in which its president also speaks: “At the beginning, I had no reason to doubt the veracity of the statements of the parents of little Kenzo, because it seemed to me incredible that they could want to use their sick boy for bad purposes. That is why, in an effort to protect the interests of my club and sincerely outraged, I joined the demonstrations of support towards this family and strongly condemned the exposed facts. Now the elements show that the truth is quite different and that the seriousness of the actions of some of the supporters of Ajaccio, moreover reprehensible, was very clearly exaggerated. »

On Sunday, an investigation into “violence at meetings” was launched. In this context, the Ajaccio prosecutor indicated that members of the Judicial Police would have access to the extraction of videos filmed at the Cochi stadium in order to “identify the attackers”. The Professional Football League (LFP) also filed a complaint in this case.
