PSG: what you need to know about the first cross-country race of the capital club

Three years ago, Nasser Al-Khelaifi asked his team to look at every opportunity to develop the PSG brand. An old idea, originally conceived for the club’s 50th anniversary, quickly resurfaced: hosting a race in the club’s colours, centered on the Parc des Princes. The advantage of the project is that it is addressed to two types of audience: running enthusiasts, who are growing in number, and PSG fans, who are always ready to take part in the events organized by their club. Finding the date was the hardest part because the racing calendar in Ile de France was especially tight.

The first 10 kilometers of PSG under the title “We run for Paris” will finally take place on Sunday, July 2. From 9:00 almost 10,000 participants start from the courtyard of the Jean-Bouin stadium. After a detour of Boulevard Exelmans (16th arrondissement), they will take the Vois Georges Pompidou along the banks of the Seine, passing in front of the Radio House and continuing towards the Pont de Jena. After a U-turn at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, they will drive in the opposite direction to cross the finish line inside the Parc des Princes.

Registration is still open (40 euros). Please note that it will be possible to attend the race in the stands of the park upon payment of an entry fee of 5 euros. Some club figures are announced, such as Laure Bullo, Waldo, Ceara or Clément Chantom.

On Saturday, from 10:00 to 12:00, for children aged 7 to 15, several races are organized at a distance of 500 to 3000 meters around the Parc des Princes. Many activities are planned on the field and in the village. The registration fee is 15 euros.
