Barcelona has reached an agreement to sign young striker Vitor Roque from Brazilian club Athletico Paranense, the reigning league champions announced on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old attacker will join Barça from the start of the 2024-2025 season until the summer of 2031.
“The termination clause is set at 500 million euros (550 million dollars), Barça said in the statement.
Spanish media suggest that the Blaugrana team will pay 30 million euros for the Brazilian with another potential 31 million in variables.

Barcelona had already signed Ilkay Gundogan and Iñigo Martínez as free agents in this market window, in which the Catalan club continues to face financial difficulties.
Roque, one of the biggest promises in Brazilian soccer, scored six goals in his last six games.
The attacker made his debut with the Brazilian team in March and is capable of playing on both flanks and through the center.
Roque was the top scorer in this year’s South American Under-20 Championship with six goals, helping Brazil lift the trophy.
In the remainder of the market, FC Barcelona is still looking for a midfielder to take the place of Sergio Busquets, who left the club at the end of last season to join Inter Miami.
