Avellino case: what can happen to the physical trainer of the U, accused of racism, in the middle of the South American and the classic

Three Corinthians fans accused Sebastián Avellino of making racist gestures against the stands. “There was a mess with some fans at the grass exit and the ‘U’ physical trainer was accused of making monkey gestures. Those who denounced it were fans and some even officially testified to the police, where they point out that the Uruguayan made the gestures”, the journalist from “Globoesporte” Ana Canhedo tells us.

Avellino has been detained for two nights now and would be being transferred to a prison for foreigners. Universitario is working for his freedom together with the consulates of Peru and Uruguay, but he does not find help in the world of soccer.

“Corinthians is not going to help anyone because it is not a football issue, but a matter for the police and the people who denounced it. The fans already gave their testimony. The physical trainer of the ‘U’ has his lawyers and as I understand it, Corinthians is not going to get involved. This is the first time that something like this has happened in the stadium”, added Canhedo.

Likewise, Jean Ferrari makes room for conversations with the law firm that is looking at a way to reverse the preventive detention ruling to tell us what can happen: “The situation is very difficult. No one from Conmebol or Corinthians has called us about this event. The process begins and we have to wait, the law firm is already looking at the case,” the University administrator told this newspaper.

Two scenarios arise:

The Foreign Ministry ruled on this case

“In relation to the incident that occurred in Brazil, after the soccer match between Universitario de Deportes and Corinthians, it is reported that the Foreign Ministry, through our Consulate General in São Paulo, has been providing the assistance and support required to the national team,” it was possible. read on their social networks of said state entity.

Finally, all this happens in a week that can be decisive for creams. This Friday they play against Unión Comercio, next Tuesday the rematch against Corinthians and the following Saturday they have to visit Matute for the classic against Alianza Lima.

Jorge Fossati is very concerned about the situation of his right-hand man, Sebastián Avellino, who is currently living a horror movie.
