Dani Alves case: the Brazilian will go to trial for alleged sexual assault in Barcelona

The former footballer of FC Barcelona and the Brazilian team, Dani Alves, will finally be tried for the alleged rape of a young woman in a Barcelona nightclub, facts for which he has been in prison since January, the Spanish justice system reported on Monday.

The Investigating Court completed the investigation and noted that there are indications that he allegedly sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman. As is known, the event occurred at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, ​​on December 30.

The date of the trial has not yet been determined and the sentence of Dani Alves will be determined here. The ex-selected Brazilian could obtain between eight and ten years of imprisonment.

The defense of the Brazilian, headed by Cristóbal Martell, will ask for the acquittal of his client since they consider that the relations were consented.
