This Tuesday, August 1, Luciano Sánchez suffered a serious injury in the duel between Argentinos Juniors and Fluminense for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores. Marcelo unintentionally stepped on the side of the Argentine team and caused the accident.
The Brazilian soccer player was remorseful and could not hold back the tears when he saw the state of Sánchez. Finally the referee decided to expel him.
The injury caused the astonishment and lamentation of the entire stadium, which remained silent waiting for more news about the player.
After the game that ended 1-1 at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, Marcelo spoke on social networks and wished Luciano the best wishes.
“Today I have had to live through a very difficult moment on the pitch. I have inadvertently injured a colleague. I want to wish you the best possible recovery, Luciano Sánchez. All the strength in the world!” he posted.
