After Lima Alliancecurrent champion of the Opening Tournament of the League 1 Betssonmake Mauricio Larriera official as the new coach, he could not contain his emotion and used his social networks to write his first words after returning to the blue and white team: “16 years later we return to ‘La Victoria'”, he tweeted.
Larriera was in the intimate club in 2007 as a technical assistant for Gerardo Peluso. That reason, in addition to his game philosophy, is what made the intimate team decide to hire him with a view to achieving the three-time championship this year.
The Uruguayan will have to overcome the bad streak that Alianza Lima has been going through. The next game of the ‘blue and whites’ will be this Saturday, August 5 against UTC in Matute for the seventh date of the Betsson 1 League, but Larriera will direct the ‘intimate’ squad on the eighth date.
