“I feel very happy for the first place, and also very proud to represent my country. In the end, with a lot of effort, I was able to do it. In the race at the beginning I had a lot of difficulties, but I managed to get to first place. Now I am preparing to leave Peru’s name high in the World Cup. Many thanks to the Rotax Organization for all their work,” Shimabukuro told El Comercio.

Juan Diego managed to represent Peru in the Rotax Max Karting World Championship, which will take place in the first week of December in Bahrain. During the week of the South American, the pilots had two days of free practice, the following day the qualifying tests and three races were held. On the last day there was a prefinal and the grand final.

Juan Diego went from less to more, he pre-classified in 17th place, then after climbing the positions, he achieved first place in the grand final. In addition, two more Peruvians achieved first place in their respective categories: Daniela Oré in the DD2 Senior category, and Gustavo Michelsen in the DD2 Master category.
